Character name: Draculaura

Timeline: The end of the Why Do Ghoul's Fall In Love? special.

Age: 1600!

~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: She is a vampire?? She technically doesn't have any magical abilities, she can't even turn into a bat yet GAWD. Basically the only thing that applies here is the fact that she's ageless and can't look into mirrors.

How would they use their abilities?: She wouldn't! She's a vegan, so she doesn't drink your blood. She doesn't even want to see your blood or think about it either.

Appearance: Draculaura is rather petite, very thin and very tiny. While she's 1600, no one would ever be able to guess that. She has a penchant for picking items with a lot of pink in them, sometimes even opting for clothing that leans a little closer to gothic-loli style (frills, big boots, ruffles, lace; she'll wear it all). She's got a heart mark on her face, it seems like it's quite permanent. She also tends to wear her rather long hair in pigtails, it's black with hot pink streaks in it. HERE!

Background/Personality:

Not much is known about Draculaura's 'early life', but it's indicated that during her nearly 1600 year existence she's been all around the world and seen many, many things (she does canonly state that she's been everywhere twice). It's evident that her father is a 'traditionalist' in terms of vampirism, although a more appropriate word might be STEREOTYPE, but despite being raised to be dismal and dark all the time, she manages to be the happiest and most friendly person you could ever come across.

It's difficult to actually nail down a whole timeline for her, so here's a list of the episodes and some excerpts from her diary. If you would like more, let me know!

But personality wise?

DRACULAURA IS ALL SUNSHINE, LOLLIPOPS AND RAINBOWS EVERYWHERE.

Okay, so maybe not sunshine, but the rest she might be keen on. She is super sweet, thoughtful and possibly a little too friendly for her own good sometimes. She'll get along with most anyone, despite their obvious flaws (though that may be a bit of naivete on her part), sometimes even trusting people a little too much. She loves having a good time and really is just an easy going sort of girl. That being said, it doesn't always work to her advantage having the sort of personality that she does.

Sometimes she can be a little too overly excited and by that point, also a little easily distracted. Despite her age, she really hasn't developed beyond your typical teenager. She can be a little accident prone from time to time and due to her typically manic peppy nature she doesn't always stick around to get all the facts so there are times where she's ever so slightly misinformed or confused.

Like many teenage girls, she does get a little insecure at times, most of which stems from the usual: looks and boys. Things are a little rough on her regarding looks SINCE SHE'S A VAMPIRE AND CAN'T TAKE A LOOK AT HERSELF IN THE FREAKING MIRROR. But she manages to look adorable all the time anyway both clothing and make-up wise, she's a grand example of practice makes perfect. When it comes to boys she's very interested, but gets a little nervous over the little things that girls usually do.

Despite trying to separate herself from the 'old ways' of her father, she does get a little flustered and embarrassed when her friends find that vampires can turn into bats; Draculaura, however, has thus far not achieved this ability for herself. She truly does want to unlive up to her full potential, so moments like these are a little disappointing for her. She also takes 'horrorscopes' rather seriously, so that does say a little about how superstitious she can be at times. Even with the occasional disappointment in her life, she does bounce back rather quickly.

Oh yeah, she love parties and dressing up and parties and make-up and parties and friends and shopping at the maul and parties. She really just love to have fun. In case you didn't get that. She's like the Pinkie Pie of Monster High, really. She also enjoys drama (as in theatre) and writing, as she is the president of both the Drama Club and Newspaper Club. And gossip, she dabbles in that too. Even with her carefree attitude, she does show that she's got quite a bit of knowledge in her noggin (would you like her to recite the elements backwards? She can do that for you).

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! She's really not your typical vampire, she is a vegan and seems to have a slight case of hemophobia. She has a hard time even saying the word blood and usually faints at the very sight of it (and at the sight of meat products too, so don't invite her out for a steak. or a stake, for that matter). SO YOUR NECKS ARE SAFE. YOUR NECKS AND ALL YOUR OTHER FLESHY BITS.

I feel it should also be mentioned that she has a bit of an accent (a very stereotyped vampire accent) that comes and goes from time to time. It's safe to say that she's a big mix of accents because she's been everywhere. Twice.

So in a nutshell:

Strengths:
❤ Able to bounce back from anything and stay perky in the face of ALL THE THINGS.
❤ She's awesome with make-up?
❤ She's really one of the best friends you could have. She does what she can to make people feel wanted and accepted, doing whatever she can to help them out.
❤ She's small, but she's very athletic. Can we say YAY VAMPIRE PROWESS?
❤ She doesn't need blood to survive. SHE EATS LIKE REAL PEOPLE.
❤ She's clever. She even makes up her own words.
❤ ALSO SHE'S ADORABLE.


Weaknesses:
❤ Sunlight, obviously. But that's not a problem here. And even if it were it's nothing she can't handle with a bit of sunscreen.
❤ The hemophobia could definitely hinder her in some ways. Since she does faint it's not exactly safe for her to see blood or think about blood or think about meat.
❤ SHE'S TOO DAMN PERKY SOMETIMES.

[Hello there Thor, meet your new resident vegan vampire! There's a pause before she puts on a rather brilliant smile, leaning in toward the camera.]

Ah, it is recording! Someone told me these things weren't very easy to use, but it doesn't seem much harder to use than my iCoffin from back home...

[The screen is turning sideways now, her head tilting along with it.]

Video chat, texting, audio capability...it really does have everything! It's a nightmare come true! Now if everything around here was this sleek it would be pretty fabulous, did anyone else have to fill out all those forms? It would be so much easier if they did it all with these things!

[A sigh as she leans back, flipping one of her pigtails back behind her shoulder. She's still in denial about the fate of her home, trying to make the best of it.]

This place really has got it all though, doesn't it? Places to live and shop, I wonder if there are any bootiques around here too...that'd really be a scream!

[That pause before she beams at the screen again.]

It took the girl a moment to realise that she wasn't where she was supposed to be, hands reaching down to fuss with the hem of her skirt idly. Just the click of her tongue as she frowned and let it fall against her legs again. It was then that she finally took that moment to take a look at her surroundings, eyes going wide.

"...definitely not school..." She murmured to herself, a smile creeping over her lips as her eyes lit up and she clapped her hands together excitedly. "...but it's definitely an improvement!"

It hadn't occurred to her yet that she was here alone, but at the moment it didn't matter. This was definitely a new place, some place that she hadn't seen before, that she could actually discover. And then another realisation that made her smile grow even wider, eyes practically sparkling. Whatever it happened to be, the moment was short lived, a Vogon shoving a thick stack of paperwork into her face.

There was a slow blink and the realisation that the papers were meant for her. She frowned, taking them with a rather dejected look on her face.

"...so much for it not being like school" She murmured, letting out a sigh as she leafed through the papers. She took a moment to breathe in, eyes closing as she clutched the packet to her chest. Oh well, the sooner she got them done the sooner she could go and explore, right? That thought alone was enough to perk her up again, a skip to her step as she made her way to a free table. After all, it couldn't be any harder to fill out forms than it was to plan a party, could it?
